Telescope:   Obsession

Mirror:         25" f/5 Galaxy Optics

Drive:           AZ/ALT, StellarCAT ServoCAT with DSC Argo Navis

Camera Equipment:   ST-10XME Class 2 CCD, AO-7, Pyxis Field De-Rotator, TCF-S

Exposure:    Single 10 minute.

Processing:   CCDOPs, Photoshop 5.0 (Levels, Curves, Unsharp Mask)

Location:   My backyard in Ridgecrest, CA (Mojave Desert), 2600 ft. elevation, population 30,000

Date:         5/11/05

Comments:   Looking north into skyglow.  This was just a simple 10 minute exposure to see how the ST-10XME and Pyxis field de-rotator would handle a slightly dimmer galaxy with a fairly high field rotation.   Showed the result to Gary Myers of StellarCAT and he pointed out that there is a 17th magnitude and probably an 18th or more magnitude star in the image.   Considering the high light pollution level this is good news.
